What is the format of an Ontario driver’s license?

The Ontario driver’s license format is (A NNNN-NNNNN-NNNNN), where the first letter (alphabet) of the last name is used at the beginning of the DLN, followed by 14 numeric digits.

What is the format of an Alberta driver’s license?

The Alberta driver’s license format is (NNNNNN-NNN). There are nine numeric digits in the Alberta driver’s license number.

What is the format of a British Columbia driver’s license?

The British Columbia license format is (NNNNNNNN) or (NNNNNNN). Numbers on driver’s licenses issued before 2023 are seven (7) digits and will not change, but beginning in 2023, numbers assigned for new driver’s licenses will be eight (8) digits.

What is the format of a Newfoundland and Labrador driver’s license?

Are we making sales in Quebec?

No, we are not making sales in Quebec.

Do we need a physical home address, or will a PO Box address work?

For Mobility accounts, both a physical home address and a PO Box address can work, but we prefer a physical home address. For the CPV, we require a physical home address with Tech-installation, but if the customer prefers CPV with self-installation, either a physical home address or a PO Box address can be used.

If a customer already has Telus, Koodo, or Public Mobile, can they keep the same number?

If a customer already has Telus, Koodo, or Public Mobile, they will not be able to keep their current number; they must obtain a new number from us with a preferred area code.

If a customer already has a Telus/Koodo account, do they need to provide one piece of ID?

If a customer already has a Telus or Koodo account, we do not need one piece of ID; we just require their Telus/Koodo account number. However, if a Koodo customer wants to switch to Telus, we will need one piece of ID. Conversely, if a Telus customer wants to switch to Koodo, we will also need one piece of ID. They must obtain a new number from us with a preferred area code.

Are we able to provide the CPV in homes, townhomes, trailer homes, or apartments?

We can provide the CPV in homes and townhomes, but we cannot provide it in trailer homes or apartments.

Is there a contract for CPV and mobility?

There is no contract for the mobility plan; it is month-to-month. However, there is a five-year contract for the CPV. The price and plan will remain the same after five years, at which point customers will only need to pay monitoring charges.

Who monitors the CPVs?

The CPVs are monitored by Telus. If any sensor is triggered, it will send a notification to the customer's phone. If the customer does not respond within five minutes, Telus will dispatch the relevant department. For cameras, customers can review the last 30 days of recordings.

Can customers access their cameras and other equipment through their cell phones?

Yes, customers can access everything through their phones, including cameras, and can turn home lights on and off, as well as lock and unlock doors.

Which forms of ID do we accept, and which is preferred?

We accept two forms of ID: a driver's license number and a SIN number. We usually ask for the driver's license number first, but if the customer does not have one, we can ask for their SIN number. We do not accept other forms of ID, such as medical cards or credit cards.

On which plans can we apply discounts, and what types of discounts can we offer to customers?

There are three different types of discounts available:

Family Discounts:

2 Subscribers: $7.50 off per subscriber = $15 off per month

3 Subscribers: $10 off per subscriber = $30 off per month

4+ Subscribers: $15 off per subscriber

MnH Discounts (Home Services Discounts):

$20 MnH discount on each line

Pre-Authorized Payment Discount:

$5 Pre-Authorized Payment Discount for each line

Family Discounts and MnH Discounts (Home Services Discounts) can only be applied to 5G+ Premium Unlimited Telus Plans.

The Pre-Authorized Payment Discount can be applied to all Telus and Koodo plans.
